“It’s May! It’s May! The lusty month of May!” — Gueneviere
More sun! More blooms! More fragrance in the air! What a glorious May we are having!
This month I have a couple of updates and a bit of inconvenient news to share. Let’s start with the inconvenient:
A stretch of IL 150 is closed, north of Alpha. There is a detour which will put you on I74. Take exit 32 from I74 to get to Alpha. This is a marked detour. Please drive safely!
From IDOT: ROAD CLOSURE
Duration: 05/01/2018 to 08/03/2018
Location: IL 150 closed from IL 81 to IL 17
Suggestion to Motorists: Closed to all traffic
Traffic Alert: Use alternate route and expect delays.
Update 1: The Baby Surprise Jacket Knit-A-Long continues! Here is my progress:
My “beginnings” are on top of Beth’s jacket. I must confess that I have to keep it at the shop so I don’t abandon everything at home and knit it! I’m a little obsessed with this pattern. It really is that fun! There is still time to join the KAL. Our next meeting is Saturday, May 19 at 10:30 am. Please register if you are interested in joining.
Update 2: The Temperature Blanket is 1/3 complete! Can you believe it? Four months down, eight to go! Here it is:
We are getting into the warmer colors of Lemon Yellow and Rust. Raspberry and Rose Shocking have yet to make an appearance, but I can wait for those summer temperatures. I hope we have Spring for a little while!
What are you stitching this May?
Until next time, take care and keep stitching!
